Big Sky's Mountain Village will continue to be the premier location for a Big Sky ski vacation with more slopeside lodging and centralized amenities. We continue to keep pace with today's guest expectations by modernizing lodging, expanding cuisine options, and other amenities. The central hub, formerly known as the "Mountain Mall," has been completely reimagined and opened for the 2019-2020 ski season as "The Exchange," including a new modern food hall, named Vista Hall, on the top floor. Vista Hall is open for the 2019-2020 winter season, featuring six new eateries, fireplaces and warm décor, additional seating, a brand new bar, and expanded and enlivened deck space for après ski. Westward Social, Mountain Village's newest restaurant and après ski spot, will further enliven the plaza with an emphasis on social gathering after a day of skiing. The Mountain Village Plaza is also getting a facelift, with new heated pavement and a forthcoming umbrella bar, guaranteed to further enhance the après ski experience.
The historic Huntley Lodge will be renovated. These changes will maintain the authenticity and warmth that has made the hotel a landmark in slope-side lodging in Big Sky for the resort's entire history. Significant, modernizing changes include sound dampening, modern plumbing and electronics, as well as a more refined approach that mixes old and new for an edgy, mountain luxury aesthetic. The Summit Hotel, the premier slopeside lodging in Big Sky, will undergo a transformative renovation that will completely update all of the rooms and common spaces in the luxurious lodge with a lighter, sleeker mountain modern feel. In future years, the most convenient and well-positioned ski-in, ski-out community in Big Sky history will begin to take shape. The Montana Club will feature on mountain-residences, built over multiple phases, and will be accessible to Mountain Village.
